For over 40 years, YSC has canoed down the Russian River under the stewardship of long time member Andy Nielsen. Andy predicts that after all the rain this year, the 2010 canoe trip promises to be a thrilling ride! Following the canoe trip everyone meets for a BBQ at Andy and Aase’s place in Windsor. Bring your water guns to keep the river raiders at bay, coolers with refreshing beverages, lunch, sunscreen, water and a change of clothes for the BBQ. The total cost is $40 per person. No pets allowed. Children pay a discounted rate if accompanied by two adults (however, children under 6 are not allowed). If you don’t want to canoe, join the group at the BBQ for just $10 (cash only).
Directions
Canoe Trip Meeting Time: 9:30. From San Francisco cross the Golden Gate Bridge and drive North on Hwy 101through Santa Rosa and Windsor. Take the Healdsburg Exit. We will gather at the 'Park & Ride' parking lot next to the freeway.
BBQ only: 5p.m. Meet at 10781 Hillview Rd. in Windsor. Take 101 to the Arata lane exit from the south. (Exit 499 off 101 from the north, then Old Redwood Hwy to Arata) After 1/2 mile, turn left onto Hillview Road. If you get lost, you can call (707) 838 6538. This event is open to YSC members and their

Water weapons, coolers, lunch, sunscreen, water, baggies for waterproofing, rope to secure your cooler, a change of clothes and a sweater for later in the evening |
