Yosemite is over and our legs have recovered from the torturous elevation gains, so we are at it again.

This time it is a bit out of the Bay Area, but what a beautiful place. This park, right off Hwy 1 on the coast, has some awesome ocean views and amazing wild flowers. Given this years late spring, it should be a good time to go in late June. Check out the photos from previous years.

The hike itself will go through multiple climate zones and is about 5 miles long and ascends to 1800ft from near sea level. It's a medium difficulty level, due to the steep and rocky trail, sturdy footwear is recommended.

We'll meet at the trail head.

It's going to be a day trip and we'll probably stop for dinner in Carmel-By-The-Sea on the way home. Please join us if you'd like.

Hope to see you all there!
Peter & Sigrid

Reservations: Reservations are not required for this event.

What to Bring: WATER, sunscreen(!), lunch, snacks, shorts and an extra layer if foggy.

Directions: From San Francisco it's about a 2.5 hour drive, so it's a day trip! Let us know via email if you would like to carpool. From the Bay Area go towards Santa Cruz (Hwy 17, then follow Hwy 1 south towards Monterey. Once you get to Monterey continue past Carmel towards Big Sur for another 10 miles. The trail head parking is about 6 miles past Point Lobos State Reserve. There is not much else than parked cars and an old barn and our Danish flag :) Parking is along Hwy 1 at the trail head.
