The YSC is the most active Scandinavian organization in the Bay Area. Throughout the year, the YSC organizes social events and a wide range of outdoor activities. Members and friends regularly meet at various lounges and nightclubs around the city to socialize, hang out, and meet new people. The club also organizes numerous outdoor excursions, such as hikes at Mount Diablo and Mount Tamalpais, canoeing on the Russian river in July, and a 3-day trip to the stunning Yosemite Valley over Memorial Day Weekend. During the summer you will also find many members at the Club's Clear Lake Cabin, where members and guests go to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and participate in themed weekend events such as Midsommar and Crayfish Weekends. During the winter holiday we celebrate Scandinavian Yuletide traditions with a Santa Lucia festival and a popular Christmas dinner at the historic Norwegian Club.
