Events

Every year the Young Scandinavians Club has a full roster of diverse events for every age group and family member. Because we are Scandinavians and love the great outdoors, our calendar is in full swing starting in spring. We have many hikes around the Bay Area with BBQ’s hosted in member’s homes like the Mt Tam Mothers Day Hike and the Mt Diablo Hike and Jazz fest. These have been traditions in the club for many years just like our annual trip to Yosemite over Memorial Day Weekend. In mid May our Clearlake Cabin kicks off the season with an opening weekend party and then you are invited to go up to Clearlake every weekend through the end of September if you are so inclined! However, because Clearlake is segmented into *party* weekends and Sun N Fun weekends there are generally two different crowds depending on the weekend. All year long you can find us having Happy Hours in and around the city and sometimes we extend them over to the East, South and North Bay. Once Clearlake is closed for the season we have more events in the city including a big Halloween party. During the holidays we have our annual Christmas Dinner at the Norwegian Hall and Lucia celebration at the Swedish American Hall. These are just some of the highlights for a year, there are always new events popping up on the calendar so make sure to check in every once and while!
